Chick-fil-A Plans December Move From West Markham to District at Midtown |
The Park Plaza-area restaurant has a December 3 target for reopening at 6210 District Avenue; its current closing date is still unconfirmed |

A familiar restaurant is moving a short distance
Customers who regularly stop at the Chick-fil-A at 6201 W. Markham Street across from Park Plaza can expect a location change in the coming weeks. The restaurant plans to relocate to the District at Midtown development at 6210 District Avenue, close to the University Avenue and Interstate 630 interchange.
December 3 is the reported target
According to reporting from Arkansas Business, company officials identified December 3, 2026, as the target reopening date. The existing West Markham restaurant’s closing date had not been determined at the time of the report. Treat the date as a plan rather than a guaranteed opening until the company posts its final announcement.
What Chick-fil-A confirms directly
The chain’s official location directory currently lists a “RELO – The District at Midtown” page at 6210 District Avenue with a “Coming Soon” status. The company also continues to list the Markham & University location at 6201 W. Markham Street, confirming that customers should check which location is operating before traveling.
A larger Midtown redevelopment
The new restaurant is part of the District at Midtown shopping center near the northwest corner of University Avenue and Interstate 630. Arkansas Business reports that a building permit filed in June declared a construction value of $6 million for the restaurant project. That figure is a declared permit value, not necessarily a final project cost.
What regular customers need to know
Until the relocation is complete, guests should use the company’s live location listings or contact the existing restaurant at (501) 663-8080 for current service and hours. The new location’s online listing does not yet establish its opening-day hours or drive-through arrangements.
Another move to monitor separately
The company previously indicated that a Chick-fil-A at Pleasant Ridge Town Center also planned to relocate. A definite destination and timeline for that separate project were not established in the reporting reviewed; it should not be confused with the confirmed Markham-to-Midtown move.
Why it matters
The relocation is a significant change for Park Plaza-area customers and nearby workers. We will watch for confirmation of the West Markham closing date and the December 3 target as the planned opening approaches.
