Arkansas Folklife Festival brings statewide culture to North Little Rock this weekend

A free weekend festival in North Little Rock celebrating Arkansas music, food, craft, storytelling, and family fun along the riverfront.

The Arkansas Folklife Festival is bringing music, food, craft, storytelling, and family activities to Riverfront Park in North Little Rock this weekend.

The free festival runs June 26–28 and is designed to celebrate the living traditions that shape Arkansas. Visitors can expect a mix of live music, dance, foodways, craft demonstrations, storytelling, workshops, and hands-on activities for all ages.

The lineup gives the weekend extra pull, with headliners including Bobby Rush and Lucinda Williams. Beyond the main-stage music, the festival is built around Arkansas culture in a broader sense — the makers, cooks, musicians, artists, and tradition-bearers who help tell the state’s story.

For families, it offers an easy way to spend time outside, explore the riverfront, and introduce kids to Arkansas history and creativity without needing a ticket. For adults, it is a chance to hear great music, watch demonstrations, try local food traditions, and enjoy a free summer weekend event close to home.

The Arkansas Folklife Festival gives Central Arkansas a strong weekend anchor: free admission, a riverfront setting, and a full lineup centered on the culture, music, and everyday traditions of the state.
