Prehistoric adventure arrives downtown

Families looking for an indoor adventure this weekend can travel through several prehistoric worlds without leaving Little Rock. Jurassic Quest brings its touring exhibition to the Statehouse Convention Center, November 6–8, 2026, with life-size moving dinosaurs, themed exhibits and activities designed especially for younger children.

Three experiences in one visit

The event combines the Jurassic Quest dinosaur displays with Ancient Oceans, featuring a giant Megalodon, and Frozen Frontier, which explores Ice Age animals such as the woolly mammoth. Organizers describe enormous figures including a T. rex, Spinosaurus and Apatosaurus, alongside approachable baby dinosaurs and roaming characters.

Activities beyond looking at dinosaurs

Children can participate in fossil digs, crafts, science stations, raptor-training activities and a toddler-oriented Tricera-TOTs play zone. Dinosaur rides, bounce houses and battery-powered Jeep rides are available with qualifying upgraded children’s tickets; they are not included in every basic admission ticket. Families should review the ticket inclusions before buying.

A quieter option Saturday morning

A sensory- and mobility-friendly session is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 8 to 9 a.m., with reduced sound and smaller early crowds. The event says guests may remain beyond their designated entry time once admitted. Families who need accommodations should consult the event organizer before purchasing.

Hours and tickets

Friday, November 6: 1–6 p.m. Saturday, November 7: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Sunday, November 8: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. The venue is the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock. General tickets are required for everyone age two and older; children under two enter free. Ticket types, prices, applicable taxes and fees vary. Some popular arrival slots may sell out.

How to plan a smoother visit

Choose an arrival time online, leave extra time for parking downtown, and check whether your family wants the basic exhibition or the upgraded rides package. Strollers are welcome. Because this is a busy temporary exhibit, tickets purchased ahead may offer more flexibility than buying at the door.
