Little Rock Music Venues Plan Halloween Cover Shows October 30 |
White Water Tavern and Vino's stage competing nights of musical tributes |

Little Rock music fans looking for something different before Halloween can choose between two nights of musical disguise on Friday, October 30.
White Water Tavern and Vino's Brew Pub are each planning cover-band performances that let local musicians temporarily step into another act's sound.
Both shows are listed for 8 p.m., with admission advertised at $15 per venue.
At White Water Tavern, local band Coachlight is slated to interpret Foreigner, while The Easys will take on Blondie and Pink Gators will perform Roky Erickson material.
Across town, Vino's has a heavier lineup, including Tripwire as Metallica, Vulgar Display as Pantera and Speed Queen as Black Sabbath.
Another performance listed for Vino's draws on the music of Linkin Park.
These shows are an example of how Halloween festivities can spill into a city's year-round independent music scene.
Rather than the usual set lists, audiences get one-night tributes and a chance to see familiar performers try a different musical identity.
Because both venues are scheduled for the same evening, concertgoers may want to choose their preferred lineup early.
Check the venues for final schedules, ticket availability and age restrictions before going.
For local music lovers, it is an especially lively way to start Halloween weekend. |
